Dr. Roderick Harrison appointed as VP of Social Science Research at 2M Research Services, LLC

“We are pleased to announce that Dr. Roderick Harrison is joining 2M as our VP of Social Science Research” said Dr. Marcus Martin, 2M’s founder and Chief Executive Officer.  “Dr. Harrison is an exceptional statistician and demographer as evidenced by him being a past recipient of the Roger Herriot Award, which is given annually by the American Statistical Association for innovation in Federal statistical systems and improvements in the use of statistical data for policy analysis.  He is also well-established as both a leader and participant in high-level government task forces, and his research is frequently cited in both print and broadcast media.”

Dr. Harrison has over 30 years of applied research experience.  Some of his other notable accomplishments include serving as the Director of Data Bank for the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies and leading a workgroup of statisticians assigned to the President’s Initiative on Race by the U.S. Census Bureau, Bureau of Justice Statistics, Department of Labor, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, the National Center for Educational Statistics, and the National Center for Health Statistics.  Dr. Harrison has also had an extensive career in academia and has served as a faculty member at Harvard University, UCLA, and Howard University.  He received his undergraduate degree from Harvard University, and his master’s and PhD degrees in Sociology from Princeton University. He is a member of the American Evaluation Association, the American Public Health Association, the American Statistical Association, and the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research.
