Meghna Brahmachari, PhD

Dr. Meghna Brahmachari is an Economic Analyst with 2M Research. She has conducted applied economic research in the fields of international trade and development, education, and water resource management. Her primary research has examined the regional variation in college attainment across the United States and specifically the role of information about the returns to skill. Dr. Brahmachari is experienced in the application of econometric and computational methods for quantitative research using large datasets, including the National Longitudinal Survey of Youth 1997 (NLSY97), American Community Survey, data from the Federal Housing Finance Agency, and the National Center for Education Statistics. Prior to her PhD, she worked as a consultant for the International Water Management Institute (IWMI) in Anand, India, where she gained experience in survey design and led primary data collection efforts. Dr. Brahmachari is currently supporting 2M’s work with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. She received a PhD in Economics from Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Arts in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi.
