Cindy Romero, MS
Cindy Romero is a Communications Specialist with 2M Research. She has 11 years of professional experience in writing content for a wide variety of audiences and for various media, including magazine feature stories, technical documents, marketing brochures, audio scripts, promotional materials, websites, training manuals, and scientific research reports; she also has 8 years’ experience in editing and proofreading.
Ms. Romero has supported a number of 2M projects, including the Center for Disease Control’s (CDC) National Center for Health Statistics’ (NCHS) Birth Certificates project, which evaluated the effectiveness of a nationally standardized online course: “Applying Best Practices for Reporting Medical and Health Information on Birth Certificates,” targeted toward clinical and nonclinical hospital and birthing facility staff. Ms. Romero is the project coordinator, helping to develop the survey questions and the communication materials for the Office of Management and Budget package. In addition, she supported USDA Food and Nutrition Services’ (FNS) Food Distribution on Indian Reservations (FDPIR) Paraprofessional Nutrition Training Assessment, including helping to schedule and conduct in-depth telephone interviews; analyze the qualitative data using NVivo software, and contribute to the final report and final presentation for the project.
Ms. Romero earned a Master of Science in Applied Anthropology from the University of North Texas, and received a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, with a minor in Writing, from the University of Texas at Arlington.
