Ashley Simpkins, MA

Ashley Simpkins is a Senior Research Analyst at 2M Research specializing in education research. She has 12 years of experience contributing to a multitude of education research studies at the local and federal level, serving learners from preschool age to senior citizens. She has worked extensively on program evaluation and monitoring for agencies such as the National Science Foundation and the National Institutes of Health, leading document reviews, managing data collection, conducting interviews, and analyzing and reporting qualitative and quantitative data. Ms. Simpkins has also developed and conducted training programs for the U.S. Department of Education and the Department of Homeland Security. Ms. Simpkins received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Mary Washington and her Master of Arts in Psychology from George Mason University, where her research focused on providing support for the expansion of public school pre-kindergarten programs and exploring how elementary school characteristics affect academic outcomes for children from different types of preschool programs. She is currently supporting 2M’s contract work with the U.S. Department of Education.
