Amy Windham, PhD, MPH
Dr. Amy Windham is Vice President of Public Health Research and Practice at 2M Research. Dr. Windham has more than 20 years of experience with experimental and quasi-experimental evaluation methodology, behavioral health and substance use disorder policy and services research, healthcare analytics, epidemiology, prevention, and public health research. She has extensive technical expertise in patient-reported and administrative measures development, large-scale data collection, claims data analysis, and advanced statistical techniques. Her research includes refining methods of estimating spending on behavioral health treatment, understanding the impact of substance use disorder treatment on healthcare costs and outcomes, evaluating access to opioid use disorder treatment among private insurance enrollees, and developing claims-based analytic tools for and providing technical assistance to state Medicaid agencies on topics related to improving access to substance use disorder treatment. She has led evaluations of approaches to soliciting public input on complex healthcare topics and approaches to engaging patients and families in healthcare decisions, as well as evaluations of health promotion and obesity-prevention programs that serve minority or underserved groups. She earned her Master of Public Health and PhD in Drug Dependence Epidemiology from the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health.
